Groprinosin is a medicinal product whose active substance is inosine pranobex. The drug is intended for supportive use in people over 1 year of age with reduced immunity, in recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract and in the treatment of herpes on the lips and face skin.

Ingredients
The active substance is inosine pranobex (Inosinum pranobexum).

1 tablet contains 500 mg of inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyl dimethyl ammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3).

Excipients: potato starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose for adults and over 65 is 50 mg / kg body weight daily. The usual daily dose is 6 tablets (3 g) per day (i.e. 2 tablets 3 times a day). The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets (4 g) per day (i.e. 2 tablets 4 times a day).

For children over 1 year of age, the recommended dose is 50 mg / kg body weight daily, given in several divided doses.

The tablet should be administered orally with a sufficient amount of liquid. For children who are unable to swallow tablets, it is recommended to administer the drug in the form of a syrup.
The duration of treatment is 5-14 days, after the symptoms have disappeared, the drug should be administered for another 1-2 days.

Groprinosin has an immunostimulatory and antiviral effect.

The drug is indicated for adjuvant use in people with reduced immunity, in the case of recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract and in the treatment of herpes on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus in people who have been diagnosed with this virus in the past.
